Frigiliana
We're back (though we've been here all along) with a rundown of some of our most favorite places we've visited so far in our first few months here. Today, we take you to beloved Frigiliana - an impossibly picturesque Andalusian "white hill town", only just over 20 minutes by car from us. Nestled in the mountains above Nerja, Frigiliana greets visitors with artfully cobbled narrow streets, artisan boutiques and shops, beautiful restaurants, and - the views. Frigiliana celebrates the co-existence here of peoples of all three of the Abrahamaic faiths, even calling itself the "Villa de las tres Culturas". A handful of public artworks around town reflect that historical heritage. Top off the setting with a couple favorite spots, and it's no wonder this little pueblo has been a day trip with each and every one of our family and friends who've come to visit.
